Farm to Table in Kelowna Gets National Exposure

Up magazine June 2013 grouped
Last month Kelowna’s vibrant farm to table scene had some great exposure in Up! Magazine – Westjet’s inflight magazine. Writer Jill Foran visited Kelowna on a press trip organized by Tourism Kelowna. She was suitably impressed with the depth and diversity of our farms, orchards and other food producers here and the connections that have developed and continue to bloom between farmers and chefs.

Up! Magazine is read by 1.4 million passengers on Westjet flights every month. In addition, the online version receives 31,000 unique visitors each month. Overall this was a very valuable story showcasing Kelowna’s lifestyle and foodie businesses. The story has also received social media attention through Facebook and Twitter which continues to grow as the story is distributed, followed and liked.

Tourism Kelowna is proud to display the articles by our travel writers on our website for researching visitors to read. To read Jill’s story along with other articles featuring Kelowna please click here.

  1. The View Winery & Wards Cidery have been living the farm to table experience in East Kelowna since 1922. Kelowna, after all, is the birthplace of the BC wine industry! Thanks to Tourism Kelowna for everything you are doing to keep the spirit ‘Farm to Table’ culture alive and well. Cheers!
