Tourism Kelowna hosting an Edmonton Lunch & Learn May 2015
Nicolle Gomez de Sousa recently hosted 14 meeting planners at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta for a lunch and learn session. Planners came from a variety of markets including government, association and corporate. Attendees were treated to a delicious lunch while they learned all about the many options Kelowna can offer their events. The guests left with Kelowna top of mind for their next meeting or conference and even took home a bottle of Cipes Brut to enjoy. Thank you to all partners that supplied a door prize.

Every year Tourism Kelowna produces the Official Visitors’ Guide and Map, Wine Trails Guide, and Farm to Table Guide. In order for visitors across the city to get a copy of these materials, our Visitor Centre staff distribute them to all Tourism Kelowna stakeholders as well as a large number of high traffic locations such as gas stations and shopping centres.
During the summer season, our staff are distributing to a different area each week, making sure that everyone is well stocked with these guides. If you are running low, please give the Visitor Centre a call at 250-861-1515 and we will make sure to drop by as soon as possible!
Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee hosted sessions at the 2015 NASC Symposium
What does Harley-Davidson have in common with Kelowna?
It is a brand that offers people a lifestyle according to Stacey Watson of Harley-Davidson, who presented at the 2015 National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) Sports Event Symposium April 27-30 in Milwaukee.
Chad Douglas represented Tourism Kelowna at the Symposium, completing the Branding Module at Harley-Davidson as part of the Certified Sports Event Executive (CSEE) Program.
Chad also pitched Kelowna to eight event owners, including three from endurance sports and two from ice hockey.
The NASC gives Tourism Kelowna access to an event owner directory with 1,692 entries.
